Mirabel, an aged female goose with downy feathers, waddled to Maxie's dewy, green lily pad.

"Maxie!" she exclaimed, exasperated from exerting all of her energy on her waddle over.

Maxie glanced up in time to see the goose, frenzied and flapping her feathery wings in excitement.

"A snake has escaped from the zoo!" Mirabel informed Maxie.

Feeding off of Mirabel's anxiety, Maxie croaked, "What kind of snake?!"

"I don't know, but it could be a snake that eats geese!" Mirabel cried, her worry and fear apparent on her orange, beaky face.

"Or a frog-eater," Maxie yelled hopping up and down in distress, for now she was afraid too!
